Resume writing must be taken very seriously and true. I have seen in the west hones people get the job and progress, while others will also get but lose it soon too. Do mention even those things tha might seem minor to you.

Community service is very important and must be done and mentioned as well. All courses, certificates and honours must be mentioned. Best is, to have a professional person write one up.
