| Pro & Anti-Pakistan Elements Assalam o Alaikum,
Since the "Rise of Taliban" in Afghanistan, Al Rashid Trust has been very active in supporting the Food and Medical aid programs inside Afghanistan. They are working hand-in-hand with real Taliban since, I guess, 1994/5 and they have great insight on who is pro Pakistan and who is not as far as Jihadi outfits are concern.
Al Rashid Trust was a project started by Late Mufti Rashid Ahmed Ludhianvi saheb (Ex-Grand Mufti of Pakistan and Teacher of Mufti Taqi and Rafi Usmani saheb). Apart from Al Rashid Trust, Mufti saheb and his team also oversees a number of other social, research-oriented and educational projects. One such project is Jamia tur Rashid.
I got a chance to convey my frustrations to a Mufti saheb who is head of the Kulya tush Shariah (College of Shariah) in Jamia tur Rasheed. And he responded that (these are not the exact words but close to what he said) :
[START]
There were Arabs and Chechens who fought along side of Taliban and Pakistani mujahideen in Afghanistan during the soviet invasion. When Taliban took over almost the whole of Afghanistan, then some of these Arab and Chechen mujhaideen settled in FATA and local tribesmen welcome them on the basis of Islamic Brotherhood. Time passes on, 9/11 happens, America attack Afghanistan, these mujahideen again fought inside Afghanistan, but US ultimately settled down in Afghanistan and the blocked the entry of mujahideen from FATA inside Aghanistan to weaken Taliban resistance. Pakistan Army also helps in this blockade. Pakistani mujhaideen resist that action verbally only but did not raise arms against their very own forces. Unfortunately, these Arabs and Chechen mujahideen establish a thinking that we should attack Pakistani Armed Forces because they are aiding US in a bid to eliminate them. Fortunately, Pakistani mujahideen, the local tribesmen, refused to act along these lines and maintained a viewpoint that Pakistan is a Islamic state with Muslim rulers (no matter what the Imani status they have) and we will not fight against our own muslim brothers, our efforts should only be used against the infidels. This difference in opinion, started armed clashes between the two of them, Pakistan Army supported local tribesmen/mujahidee n.
[END]
Similarly, mufti saheb did not validated the armed resistance of Maulana Fazlullah aka Maulana Radio in Swat. However, there is a great responsibility on our leadership, because it is very clear that both the local residents of Swat and FATA were demanding Shariah Complaint system since 70s but no government ever tried to fulfill their desire. What happens then? few opportunists stand up in the name of Islam and tried to divert the frustrations of local residents against their own government.
If you analyze both these case and that of Baluchistan, all three of them have same pattern, there were frustrations growing up in locals, some people raise the flag of armed resistance and people followed them, there's support from enemy states like India, Russia, USA, Afghanistan. Unfortunately our leadership and government, never focus on issues when they are small and containable. They only wake up when these issues start shaking the landscape. Isn't it like that we are waiting for a person to sin first and as soon as he did that we start punishing him. We are to keen to punish people and not to curb the ways that attract people towards sin. I think this is very unjust and against the nature of Islam. Hazrat Umer RaziAllaho Talla Anhu nullifies the punishment of thieves during the days of Qehat. I am not advocating those culprits who are leading these resistances to destabilize pakistan, but it hurts a lot when 'saada' local people of Swat, Baluchistan and FATA get killed. They didn't have the kind of awareness that people of Karachi, Lahore, Peshawer or Quetta have. They were simply mislead because they were unable to understand the evil designs of India, Israel, Russia and US combined. May Allah safe all of us from fitnah (Ameen).
