| Agents make a million dollar bust at the border
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents made a major marijuana bust late Wednesday night at the Ysleta port of entry. Agents found almost one ton of marijuana, worth more than $1,900,000.
The seizure was made shortly after 10 p.m. when a tractor-trailer entered the compound from Mexico. Agents were suspicious, so they x-rayed the vehicle and brought in a drug sniffing dog who alerted them to the floor.
Officers drilled into the floor of the trailer and found the marijuana. CBP officers removed a total of 1,681 marijuana-filled bundles from hidden compartments in the floor of the trailer.
No arrests were made. |
