Like every little girl, I grew up listening to fairytales. Fairytales where this ordinary girl meets her Prince charming and they live happily ever after. I wonder if anyone ever realises wat a wrong story it is to teach young minds. I dont know how other women had taken these stories then but i m sure there are at least a few like me who somwhere related themselves to the fairytales.
Today, I am 24 gal living in a metropolitan city of India-Mumbai. Being a designer (i always dressed barbies as a young girl, and now its my profession to dress people) I have a lot of work load & pressure. Staying all alone in this city for three years has taught me lessons of a lifetime especially in love!
It al begin with me falling in love wit a collague of mine at work. We had a great time, I truely felt connected to him. He knew exactly how to handle me & my moods. He was 7 yrs elder and thus his maturity, understanding and immense love was so unbelieveable. But like al stories there was a twist he was 1" shorter, and didnt appreciate me wearing heels ( I m just like Carrier crazy about shoes-especially heels). knowing this I quit it and only wore flats. eventually he had to get marry as he was growing old and so he did, no not to me! That was like a part of me had departed. I was so blank & thinking straight was the last thing. I was back to my lonily world where i had began.
Months flew by, and each night I cried myself to sleep thinking oh hes sleeping with her & here i share my lonely nights crying. But time had other things in store for me. Feeling week i was vulnerable-I had always been a one man woman and now the guy i loved is married too hard to digest.
Then from nowhere came an old acquaintance(X-roomates friend), standing tall came to my life. He was the most handsom guy I hav seen; and a really sweet guy, I was in such a bad state that any guy who came my way i trusted him and made myself believe that he is the one. I didnt start off as friends......... it al started in a relation....... i didnt give time to the guy & me in knowin each other. |
